ACQUITY Arc Multi-Dimensional Liquid Chromatography (MDLC) System

Multi-dimensional technology for HPLC separations

Multi-dimensional technology for HPLC separations

Waters ACQUITY Arc Multi-Dimensional Liquid Chromatography (MDLC) System enables scientists to achieve significant increase in sensitivity and selectivity, eliminate unwanted interferences, and characterize the most complex samples.

With the system, your lab can perform separations that are normally incompatible with a mass spectrometer by adding a second reversed-phase separation to your experiments. The system is comprised of two (2) Quaternary Solvent Managers (QSM), a Sample Manager with Flow-Through Needle (SM-FTN), and a Column Manager. Additional hardware includes, idiverter valves that are used when choosing the 30 cm Column Heater (CH) product.

Increase resolution of an elution with heart-cutting functionality

The ACQUITY Arc MDLC System is set up to take a heart cut from the first dimension to another dimension by using a loop trap for peak refocusing, enabling scientists to achieve increased resolution of a specific elution in one dimension and use a different set of conditions on a second separation.

Purposefully designed for MDLC

The ACQUITY Arc MDLC System is specifically designed for MDLC applications. This system can easily house two columns with different column chemistries (up to 150 mm length) with independent temperature control for each column and operation as well as active solvent pre-heaters, providing versatility for orthogonal separations.
