As President and CEO of Waters Corporation, Dr. Udit Batra brings more than two decades of leadership and operational expertise in the healthcare and life sciences industries. He has a proven track record leading multi-billion-dollar global organizations and driving results at the top of the industry.
Before joining Waters in September 2020, Udit served as CEO of the $7.7 billion life science business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, which operates as MilliporeSigma in the United States and Canada. In 2015, Udit led the formation of MilliporeSigma, with the largest merger in the life science tools industry at the time. Udit led the team that oversaw a strategic and operational transformation of the business that drove record sales growth and margin development. From 2011-2013, as CEO of Merck KGaA’s consumer health business, Udit led a period which saw doubling of the business’ profitability and achieving organic growth in the top tier of the industry.
Earlier in his career, Udit served in a range of leadership positions at Novartis, a Swiss multinational pharmaceutical company. In addition to leading Corporate Strategy and Global Public Health and Market Access for Vaccines and Diagnostics, he also served as president of the Australia Pharma business. During his tenure, this subsidiary became the fastest-growing business amongst competitors in Australia and in Novartis. Throughout his career, Udit has championed science education, especially for low-income students, developed and promoted women’s leadership, and has been a strong advocate for increasing diversity across the organizations he has led.
Udit has received numerous leadership accolades and recognition, including being named 2020 New Englander of the Year by the New England Council, 2019 NECA Business Person of the Year, Pharmavoice Top 100 Most Inspirational People (2017-2019), Boston Business Journal’s 2019 Power 50 and the 2016 CPhl Pharma CEO of the Year.
Currently, Udit is a member of the Board at the Boston Chamber of Commerce, MassBio and the Massachusetts High Tech Council. He serves on the Advisory Council of the chemical engineering departments of Princeton University where he earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and the University of Delaware where he earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.
Keeley Aleman was appointed Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Waters Corporation in 2019. Keeley joined Waters Corporation in 2006 as the Assistant General Counsel and in her time at Waters, she has served in various roles, including as Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Assistant Secretary, Associate General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel for Waters advising on business transactions, commercial strategies, international development, intellectual property, compliance, corporate governance and organizational matters.
Prior to joining Waters, Keeley held the positions of Corporate Associate at Goodwin Procter LLP and Corporate Associate at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP, where she represented public companies in all aspects of business and securities law issues and transactions and represented private companies in ongoing general corporate matters, including financings, mergers and acquisition and corporate maintenance.
She earned her B.A., with honors, from University of California at Davis in 1998 and received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Boston University School of Law in 2003.

Jianqing Bennett was named Senior Vice President of the TA Instruments Division of Waters Corporation in 2021, where she leads TA’s business committee and is responsible for overall global strategic planning.
Prior to joining Waters, Jianqing was Senior Vice President, High Growth Markets at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics (a Danaher operating company), where she was responsible for the P&L of High Growth Markets and managed the full portfolio of In-Vitro clinical core laboratory solutions, helping to accelerate revenue growth and market share gain. Prior to Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, she served in roles of increasing responsibility over 14 years at Carestream Health, including President of the Medical Digital Business from 2015 to 2017. Prior to Carestream Health, Jianqing served in multiple roles at GE Healthcare Inc. in the U.S. from 2001 to 2003 and China from 1995 to 1999.
She holds a B.S. in biomedical engineering from Fudan University in Shanghai, China and an MBA in management information systems from The University of Iowa.
Amol Chaubal was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Waters Corporation in May 2021. He has direct responsibility for all aspects of the Finance and Information Technology organizations and is focused on executing Waters’ transformation strategy and building long-term value creation.
Prior to joining Waters, Amol was Chief Financial Officer at Quanterix since 2019 where he helped oversee a period of strong shareholder value creation and returns. From 2017 to 2019, Amol was Chief Financial Officer of Global Operations at Smith & Nephew. Prior to Smith & Nephew, he served as Corporate Vice President and Head of Finance for PAREXEL’s Clinical Research Services and Access businesses from 2015 to 2017. Between 2013 and 2015, he was the North America Chief Financial Officer and later Regional Chief Operating Officer at Brookfield Renewable Energy Group, part of Brookfield Asset Management. Prior to Brookfield, Amol was Chief Financial Officer North America at Novartis Vaccines & Diagnostics and spent 11 years with Novartis in positions of increasing responsibility across Switzerland, Canada, and the United States. He began his career with Procter & Gamble.
He earned a master’s in chemical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai and an MBA from INSEAD, France.
Belinda Hyde was appointed Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources of Waters Corporation in January 2021. She is responsible for all aspects of the Global Human Resources function including talent management, total rewards, HR business partners, HR operations and technology, employee engagement, and diversity and inclusion.
Prior to joining Waters, Belinda served as the Chief Human Resources Officer for SPX FLOW, Inc. and Schnitzer Steel. She has also held leadership roles in business and cultural transformation, executive development, talent management, compensation, benefits, training, internal communications, and business partner support at companies such as Caltex Petroleum, Dell Technologies, Invitrogen, and Celanese Corporation.
Belinda earned a B.A. in psychology from the University of Texas, as well as both a master’s degree and doctorate in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of Houston.
Kristen Garvey was named Vice President of Corporate Communications of Waters Corporation in 2019. Kristen leads Waters’ communication strategy across multiple stakeholder groups and oversees public relations, corporate branding, community involvement, and executive and employee communications. From 2018 to 2019, Kristen served as Senior Director, Corporate Communications at Waters.
Prior to joining Waters, Kristen served as Senior Director, Internal Communications at Dell from 2016 to 2018. Prior to Dell, she served in a series of leadership roles in internal communications at EMC. Earlier in her career, Kristen served as a Women’s Network Advisory Board Member at the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and held leadership positions at Chadwick Martin Bailey and DataViz.
She earned a B.A. in communications from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Jonathan Pratt was named Senior Vice President of the Waters Division of Waters Corporation in 2021, responsible for Liquid Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Instruments, consumables, informatics, sales, marketing, and service. He oversees the cross-functional collaboration of the R&D and commercial teams as well as overall global strategic planning and upholding the company vision.
Jonathan previously served as Senior Vice President of TA Instruments at Waters from 2019 to 2021. Prior to joining Waters, Jonathan was President of Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, where he spearheaded efforts that drove improved operating profit and revenue growth both organically and through acquisitions. In addition, he held senior positions at Danaher Corporation and at Pall Corporation, where he was President of its Food & Beverage, Laboratory and ForteBio businesses.
Jonathan also serves on the Board of SPX FLOW, Inc. as an independent director and a member of the Audit, Compensation, and Nominating & Governance Committees. He holds a B.S. in chemistry from the University of Reading, UK and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
Dr. Daniel Rush was appointed Senior Vice President, Strategy and Transformation of Waters Corporation in 2021. He collaborates with the Executive Committee to develop and operationalize worldwide enterprise strategy.
Prior to joining Waters, Dan served as Vice President, Worldwide Commercialization Strategy & Innovation at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS), where he led its digital customer model transformation and was responsible for implementing a novel innovation system across Commercial, Medical and Market Access. Prior to BMS, he spent eight years at Novartis in a variety of sales, marketing, and strategy leadership roles, including Head of Global Pharma Strategy, U.S. Launch Lead for Afinitor® and U.S. Marketing Director for Zometa®. Dan began his career as a chemist in Pharmaceutical R&D at Merck, following a post-doc in materials science at the University of California, Irvine and Sandia National Laboratories.
He earned a B.A. in chemistry and history from Bowdoin College and a Ph.D. in physical organic chemistry from Yale University.
Dan Welch was appointed Senior Vice President, Global Operations of Waters Corporation in 2020. He is responsible for Waters’ worldwide Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Facilities, HSE, Quality, and Regulatory. Dan joined Waters in 2012 as Senior Director, Milford Manufacturing Operations. In 2017 he moved into the Supply Chain organization initially as Senior Director, Materials Management and then as VP, Global Supply Chain, where he was responsible for planning, sourcing distribution, logistics, and trade.
Prior to Waters, he served as Vice President of Operations for Advanced Electron Beam and Vice President of Operations for Evergreen Solar, spending six years in venture backed start-ups. Dan started his career with Intel Corporation, where he worked for 23 years in progressive Engineering and Engineering Management roles.
Dan earned a B.S. in chemical engineering from Clarkson University.
