Modular Systems
Flexible purification solutions to meet your lab requirements
Integrate the versatility of Empower Software with the simplicity of Waters chromatography solutions for a flexible purification solution that perfectly meets your laboratory’s needs.
With Waters analytical to semi-preparative purification solutions, you can effectively purify a limited number of samples without the advanced features of a full preparative system. Waters modular systems can sit on the end of the benchtop waiting for your chemists to use on-demand and are ideal for purifying micrograms to milligrams of your compounds.
Configure the ideal system solution to meet your unique applications with Waters full line of modular solvent delivery systems, capable of delivering flow rates of up to 300 mL per minute.

Maintain control and get answers fast with the integrated functionality of Empower
Control the Waters Fraction Collector III through an instrument interface using Empower Software. The interface integrates seamlessly with existing Empower control components once the instrument control software (ICS) is loaded. The collector control software lets you easily configure collection vessels and program your collection routines. Receive real-time feedback from the fraction collector and obtain information on the current state of the collection process along with the location of the collected fractions for immediate answers.
Perform a variety of collection techniques with efficiency and ease
With the user-friendly collection control interface, you can easily perform a variety of collection techniques:
- Collect everything with time slicing
- Collect specific segments of the run on a time basis
- Collect the eluent between triggered fractions
- Collect using detector-triggers based on threshold, slope, or slope and threshold
When large-volume samples require repetitive injections and collecting fractions into the same container, simply check a single box in the collection protocol to perform this task. For low-flow operations, you can choose to avoid opening and closing the diverter valve between consecutive fractions, eliminating the risk of diverting valuable segments of the sample to waste.
Fraction collection information is embedded into Empower Software datasets and is available in a comprehensive report. You can view the report in an electronic format and save it to the database for follow up retrieval as needed.
Integrate fraction collection and detection for reliable results
Perform fraction collection efficiently with Waters compact, flexible, and easy-to-use Fraction Collector III, which you can use alone or as part of a Waters sample purification solution for greater sample collection capacity. It is designed for use in both small-scale and large-scale work environments and can easily integrate with many Waters system configurations.
